Lubricate the Air Compressor

Unless your air compressor is an oil free compressor, don’t operate your equipment if the parts are not lubricated well. When lubricating your air compressor:

  1. Make sure that the equipment is turned off and disconnected from the power source.
  2. Ensure that it is on a flat and level surface.
  3. Remove the fill cap.
  4. Check the oil in the crankcase assembly for dirt and debris.
  5. The oil level should not exceed the halfway point of the sight glass.

Change the Air Compressor Pump Oil

  1. Make sure that the equipment is turned off and it is disconnected from the power source.
  2. Ensure that it is on a flat and level surface.
  3. Remove the fill cap.
  4. Place the collection container underneath the oil drain cap.
  5. Remove the oil drain cap and let the oil drain out.
  6. Fill the crankcase with appropriate oil, and be careful not to exceed the halfway point.

Check the Air Filter Element

  1. Make sure that the equipment is off and disconnected from the power source.
  2. Ensure that the compressor pump is cold.
  3. Remove the filter top from the filter base.
  4. Remove the element from the filter base.
  5. Blow out any dust and debris from the filter element.
  6. If needed, replace the element.
  7. Reconnect the filter top to the base and secure it.
