Cardigans Styles: Few Pairing Ideas For A Fab Look

Classy and fabulous is what every girl should look like. At least, that is what Coco Chanel once said, so it must be true, right?

I see so many girls obsessing over the way they look; throwing thousands of dollars on expensive clothing and fashion accessories to get that fancy look that sincerely, does not suit them at all. The truth is, we all have different styles, different bodies and different personalities. What looks perfect on me, does not necessarily mean that it will look awesome on you too.

I want to dedicate this article to cardigans. For a long time, many ‘fashionistas’ have been underrating this piece of clothing, due to its simplicity and a modest look. But, latest styles of women cardigans are coming big on the fashion scene, as they have been updated with lots of shapes, colours and patterns. Sincerely, I have always been a huge women cardigans fan. They feel cozy and make me feel pretty good. And they look awesome on me too.

So, let’s take a look at same of my favourite and fabulous cardigan ideas to spice up your winter outfits.

  • Cropped – They feature hemlines that normally, fall above the smallest point on your torso, the so-called natural waist. Thus, cropped cardigans draw the eye to the waist, making a woman’s bust look smaller or bigger, depending on the particular cardigan shape. To look great with a cropped cardigan on you, combine it with skirts, dresses and slim-fitting pants.
  • Short & Tailored – This cardigan style perfectly fits your torso, even when worn open. To enhance its real beauty and draw somebody’s attention at the same time, wear it over a contrasting colour. And when it comes to pairing, you have plenty of options to choose from. Leggings, jeans, tank dresses, full-skirted dresses and sheaths – they all make a fantastic match to short & tailored cardigans.
  • Long & Straight – By featuring straight or fitted shape, long & straight cardigans hit below the hip. Their ‘hidden power’ is to give an accent to your height, especially when worn with pants and heels. Since cardigan is not a made-to-measure garment, a long style with straight opening is perfect if you want to camouflage your waistline. If your aim is to look trendy and fabulous, pair the long & straight cardigan with slim-fitting pants. Skirts and dresses are not an exception too.
